Dental Embryology and Oral Anatomy Laboratory
The Dental Embryology and Oral Anatomy Laboratory is part of the Faculty of Dentistry
and is located within the facilities of the Faculty of Science (Room 14B2260).
This laboratory is dedicated to delivering the practical component of the course
“Dental Embryology and Oral Anatomy” (Course Code: 7503204).
The laboratory serves as a foundational educational environment in which students
begin to develop a systematic understanding of tooth morphology and external dental anatomy.
It represents a cornerstone for acquiring essential preclinical competencies in dental education.
The primary objectives of the laboratory include:
• Developing students’ ability to accurately represent dental anatomy through precise
scientific and geometric tooth drawing.
• Enhancing manual dexterity skills through wax block carving to reproduce detailed
anatomical tooth forms, a core requirement for clinical dental practice.
• Applying practical concepts related to tooth development, growth, and the embryological
Tissues involved in odontogenesis, under direct academic supervision to ensure mastery of functional dental anatomy.
