Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is one of the specialized clinical departments within the College. It is concerned with the diagnosis and management of diseases, injuries, and deformities of the oral cavity, jaws, and facial region. The department also aims to equip dental students with the theoretical knowledge and clinical skills required to practice oral surgery in accordance with the latest scientific and professional standards. In addition, the department contributes to providing educational treatment services to the community, including simple and complex tooth extractions, management of impacted or partially impacted teeth (according to the level of training), and supporting scientific research and academic development.

To achieve academic and clinical excellence and leadership in the education and training of oral and maxillofacial surgery through the provision of advanced educational programs, comprehensive practical training, impactful scientific research, and high-quality educational clinical services. Establishment of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at An-Najah National University Hospital
Department specialists have played a pivotal role in establishing and developing the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at An-Najah National University Hospital. The department provides advanced specialized surgical services across various fields of maxillofacial surgery. These services include the management of road traffic accident injuries and facial trauma, orthognathic surgeries, excision of benign and malignant tumors of the maxillofacial region, management of temporomandibular joint disorders, treatment of cleft lip and palate cases, and the management of salivary gland–related diseases, in addition to other medical and surgical conditions related to the facial and jaw region, all in accordance with the latest scientific standards and approved clinical practices.
